IMO this is Morrison desperately trying to find reverse gear on his
anti-EV 2019 policy in order to retain Greenie Middle Class votes.

ScoMo is a dedicated follower of political fashion; not a leader, IMO.

With the bulk of Aus population urbanised, the market needs affordable
small evs for around town commuting with rooftop solar roofs to trickle charge
the battery during daylight hours with the poverty pack available ex-Bunnings
& made in China of course!

For example, a Kia Rio/Hyundai Ascent sized car at a retail price below
$20 K would fit the bill; not a $60K to $200K EV that only middle class
    professionals can afford.

IMO if a buyer can afford a $60K EV then he/she can afford to install
a home charging point without expecting middle class welfare!
