Looks to be a very good appointment, fantastic resume, and adds credibility to FYI.
I like the fact he has extensive experience with Alcoa too - he would have many relationships there already.
He wouldn't commit to FYI unless he was confident we and the joint venture were going places. What an exciting venture for him to be a part of at this stage of his career - to take a new HPA product global.
I think we can expect further appointments in the near future to continue to build on our team.
As has already been pointed out Alcoa presented and touched on their intention to enter the HPA space.
What is interesting to see (and it verifies what Roly said to me) was that the 'hurdles' is just how Alcoa structures their project progression.
You can see below that all of their innovation projects have hurdles - it is not just with FYI and the HPA project.
