Hi Newjo,
I fully understand your disappointment towards management in handling of the Rights Issue. If you only rely on the instructions of the Prospectus then you may miss out on selling your rights due to the tight timing issue. However, I've got some good news for you and other people who may have a similar problem in mind.
I just called E*Trade and found out that you can actually instruct your broker on the phone to add your rights entitlements to your account (if you are eligible to the rights issue) as soon as TODAY, therefore selling whatever numbers of rights you wish for and take up the balance by completing the Entitlement Form later.
Also, the person that I spoke to told me that you can download your entitlement and Acceptance Form from Advanced Share Registry's website on the Record Date (12/10/09) so you don't need to wait for the letter to arrive on 16/10/09.
Hope this solve your concern.
Regards,
TT
