Gen - your avatar - unless I'm mistaken - is Galileo Galilei - one of the fathers if modern science

He was one of the champions of heliocentrism which proposed that the earth and planets revolved around the sun.

''At the time of Galileo's conflict with the Church, the majority of educated people subscribed to the Aristotelian geocentric view that the Earth is the center of the Universe and the orbit of all heavenly bodies, or Tycho Brahe's new system blending geocentrism with heliocentrism''

Luckily for us, Galileo didn't listen to the ''majority of educated people'' that were bleating the Church's dogma on the subject. It did however earn him the ire of the Church which had him sentenced by the Inquisition and held in house arrest for the rest of his life.

Being in the minority doesn't mean you are wrong
it ususally means you are not indoctrinated and can think for yourself
