Luckily for us, Galileo didn't listen to the ''majority of educated people'' that were bleating the Church's dogma on the subject. It did however earn him the ire of the Church which had him sentenced by the Inquisition and held in house arrest for the rest of his life.

Moral of this story

Being in the minority doesn't mean you are wrong
it ususally means you are not indoctrinated and can think for yourself

correct that "being in a minority doesn't mean you're wrong". ...... but its always important to learn and be prepared to discover one's errors in thinking or knowledge. but this requires an intelligent curiosity to learn and a willingness to realise you're not always right.
