Marsi - I think what the Pommy Bear has to say above has weight as well as the fact that although GLD (gold) broke out on strong volume last night, GDX the gold miner ETF didn't, nor has our XGD today and the USD did not drop to a new low for the recent move.
Conflicting signals basically. Maybe people are waiting for more confirmation of the break or maybe its a bull trap.
As always, time will tell
