    compare those numbers with 12 months, 24 months ago (or longer)... its not hard to draw a trend line...

    Facts are that there is a reason why Australia isn't building more coal plants & why the existing plants are being run to retirement.

    Right now - coal provides "baseload" - 10 years time will be a different mix again with more renewables making up the mix - less about baseload and more about despatchable

    The retirement of AGL Liddell in 2023 will remove a 2000Mw of coal power plant capacity from the mix.
    Then there is EA Yallourn in 2028 for another 1480Mw of coal power being retired
    Then AGL Bayswater is expected to retire around 2035 which is 2640Mw.
    Dark Blue bars will be taking some big steps down

    Meanwhile renewables are being installed at a rate of around 6000Mw per year, 24Gw of rooftop solar expected by 2030
