I agree that in the next 10 years the balance of power will change.
Fortunately AGL is also investing in Batteries, Pumped Hydro ,Wind and Solar.
High energy usage corporations like smelters need power 24/7 and base load providers need continuous load 24/7. Until this is developed AGL base load is integral for business. Closing Liddell is a great strategic move it has and will force investment in renewables.
Let's wait until they realise what the load of charging EV at night has on base load capacity of renewables in our cities.
We can play the carbon capture card for a few more years until someone gets the balls to build another nuclear reactor for power.
