All you need for an auditor to sign off on the scale of debtors is an invoice. Not hard. And if the auditor wanted to push the issue they might ask for some form of purchase order or contract. Not hard."

What are you talking about... an invoice or purchase order means SFA. Any (professional) auditor will gain assurance through a combination of debtor confirmation and the receipt of cash subsequent to balance date.

Invoices, purchases orders and contracts are not adequate audit evidence to support a material debtor balance.

Do you have any audit experience?
