If: Ni reaches US$ 11 Lb approx A$ 33,800 a Metric ton = A$33.28 approx /Kg.
Then: A$100 in 5/10/20 cent coins (not 50c) weighs 5.692 Kg
75% Cu & 25% Ni
Using todays Cu Spot of approx A$ 13.00 Kg
& A$ 33.28 /Kg Ni
Then: the scrap value of A$ 100 in coins using spot pricing = A$103 approx.
I know this is very simplistic and does not allow for refining, exchange rates etc.
So the worlds emergency supply of Cu & Ni is in your pocket
