NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Amphenol Corp. , a maker of electronic and fiber optic connectors, cable and interconnect systems, on Thursday announced the public offering of 6.7 million Class A shares by affiliates of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

Wallingford, Connecticut-based Amphenol said Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is arranging the offering.

Amphenol shares closed Wednesday at $29.91 on the New York Stock Exchange.
