I understand the hurdler metaphor implicitly. I like the bug visual, myself.....as in ..."some days your the bug, other days your the windscreen"
During some idle time,I started flicking back through post to find the origin of the MUSIC club...and I saw a reference the CHAIN. It bounced me back to when I finished school in 1977, and we were up the coast. A mate had a house at Green Point, and he gave me this tape of CHAIN. The best harmonica I had every heard.
I tried playing the harp a few times, but the tooth filings, metal harp and saliva set up just enough current to twist my tongue!!! Could never get over that.
