    sounds like your body is just starting to wake up.

    don't be concerned too much on the weight - remember - how heavy muscle is.

    pictures and measurements - they often tell a different story to the scales.

    I flicked back and had a look at my pics of my legs in 2019 before I left Oz - and, at that stage I was walking about 20km a day average -- sometimes 15 ish, but, mostly in the 20's

    compared to now - my legs looked skinny - I now measure 3 centimetres larger (thigh top). The muscle where it joins my knee is now quite a bulge and all is hard as a rock. - the point is - that's all weighty muscle.

    I haven't photographed myself again yet - I will do it soon - but, I got used to looking down and seeing muscles sticking out and more solid legs than in the pics

    one forgets what one looked like

    In my case - the difference in the legs is the bike. I hated the thing at first - but, it got me over the problem with shin splints - and, it was so good for my health that - I fell in love with the thing.

    I admit when I'm wrong - and, I was wrong on bikes - nothing more certain than that one.
