As bullish as I am on the future of EVs (especially their superiority in design), do people think automakers, with billions upon billions invested, are simply going to walk away from ICE vehicle production if supplies of critical metals in batteries (especially lithium) cannot meet production demand? The logician in me says they'll continue to produce ICE vehicles until it's no longer economical which frankly, I don't see being a problem for auto manufacturers for quite some time.
As lithium investors, we're in a sweet space but we shouldn't simply assume we're getting the cherries.
