Discrepancies between NPV and market valuation exist until they don't. Usually a whole range of projects across the market receive a re-rate simultaneously, the past month saw a bunch that I hold close significantly. Traditionally this is talked about in terms of bulls and bears, confidence etc. I'm not sure of the actual mechanics. Sometimes a few good bits of news in a sector can trigger an avalanche of money flow. High end M&A, investments in refineries etc, in battery cathode materials will turn eyeballs our way. Likewise offtake, JV news, other stuff I mentioned.
