Good question, yes, these companies are slowly divesting into the renewable energy game and being forced to quickly by the green policies. Also it isn't just about making money- it's about business reputation and if these business don't move along ahead of the legislation they will be outcast by the customer and shareholders. It's only a matter of years until ( at least in wealthy countries) it will be socially unnacceptable to buy an ICE car. Especially when EV's are more affordable than ICE vehicles.
