to summarise boat people are not the people in need these people have enough money to pay for their passage most genuine refugees wouldn't have the money these boat people are cue jumpers they have enough money to get ahead of those who have nothing they can also get in before those migrants who are trying to get in via the skilled migration program too many think arriving by boat means absolutely desperate this is a view held by ignorant middle class liberals living a cushy life in the suburbs who have absolutely know idea about immigration. they would have had NO contact with people trying to get into the country all they they know is "come by boat" = "desperate" unfortunately the situation is far more complex than their simple bleeding heart minds can imagine
