Remember LC saying IMU is very promiscuous recently? IMU don't do exclusivity. IMU will partner anyone where there will be benefits to patients. In view of that, if IMU let Merck or anyone sponsor the trial, then chances are they would want exclusivity and prevent Her-Vaxx from being trialled with any other potential combination. Understand this. IMU is all about the science and patients first. Money will follow. Not money first and then whatever else later.
All in all, this trial agreement validates the potential of the B cell platform now. If successful, everyone must remember, it is a PLATFORM tech. Not a one drug wonder. Her-Vaxx succeed here, look out because the whole B cell platform will be evaluated and starts to be priced into the company.
Once again, another de-risking of the company has begin here with this announcement.
