    Yes, that's true, but it depends entirely on how far the gold price falls, if it really tanks it doesn't matter what currency you own it in.

    You're 'well ahead'. I'm not surprised, goldbugs never lose money, even though the gold price has crashed from US$2,120 a few months ago and the XGD is down by 32%.
