Went for another drive today.
The drill unit 05 has moved. It appears to be at the second location on the map from their original announcement a few weeks ago.
It has moved about 70 yards toward the direction of the Correctional Centre and about 40 yards closer to the road and is clearly visible from the road. They appear to have covered up the previous hole with some sort of covering or fencing? Probably still open and keep the cattle away, although the bulk of them are still feeding down near the common.
The council trucks must have been coming in on the back roads through the common to the quarry as the gate was open right near Dick's Reward. Is a nice drive through that region so I took the opportunity and went through the gate right to where the mullock heaps are as I believe Dick's Reward entrance is actually part of the common? No activity there of course but really interesting, there is a big cement block visible in the ruins. Also the 3 or 4 mullock heaps are not very big, so not a lot of soil and rock taken from there originally. i await with interest the six holes or so to be drilled there. I noted on the drilling plan map the area around Dick's Reward has been hammered heavily with drill holes but not so much where they are headed this time.
Hoping for some positive results from this current drilling program.
