The actual number released on the 28th won't be as important as the associated commentary. If anyone will bother listening to the webcast keep an ear out for possible future production increases, government orders/pre-orders and future plans e.g. IV relenza. It's important to remember that the seasonal market is actually a decent size too and GSK have recently started pushing the drug into China and India... with Tamiflu problems I wonder if the market will switch to Relenza. Also listen for approval for other delivery methods.
With 2009 production already accounted for I would expect this last quarter to be reasonably good, very hard to guess the number as it's delivery based but anything over $20m will be good, $30m excellent and >$40m fantastic. I would be disappointed with a number less than $10m.
Call me an optimist but I'm greatly looking forward to the LANI license deal and HRV deal. If someone asked you (before you heard of Biota) what's a cure for the common cold or worth what would you say?
