AusTex Oil Limited (ASX:AOK) announced today that drilling of the Wildcat McKinnie #1 Well commenced on Friday, 9 October CDT. The operator, Castle Resources Inc. reports that at 10.30am CDT Monday 12 October 2009 the rig was drilling ahead at 3,340 feet. The exploratory well is being drilled with a rotary rig and TD of approximately 4,500 feet to the top of the granite is expected to be reached later this week. Mud Logs indicated three intervals of oil shows between 2,000 and 3,000 feet.
