Not sure why you limit gullibility to religious followers.
Modern day gullibility has completely taken over all "social" and mainstream media sources of (mis) information and almost completely destroyed any teaching of critical thinking and evaluation in the so called education of present generations.
They are now completely brainwashed into thinking that copy, paste and rehashing accepted "knowledge" to get good marks is something to do with education.
Their parents of course have long since accepted that whatever they see on television or Twitter must be true if they like the person sprouting it.
