If the board were not aware of the likelihood of this voting outcome then I have no qualms about what has happened - but if they did know or even had a sniff of it I would think that there was a better way to deal with it. Axel could have been consulted about the problem and for both his sake and IMUs convinced to make an announcement about stepping down before the AGM. Creating uncertainty and allowing SH to consider board dissension or unrest is not a good way to go IMO. My hope is that it was out of their hands.
