People these days have no idea how good milk used to be. The cream on the milk was heaven and even if you skimmed it off or used a seperator for later, there was still much remaining that made eating cereal bliss.
At least you didn't have to milk the cows.
I did at one stage after our move back from Sydney to the bush.
And I am talking about hand milking not machine. Up to 4 cows and if you ever want to develop stong hands then this will do it.
Only one joy greater than milk deliveries were bread deliveries. We used to pick out the ends of the loaf and eat it when it protruded but inevitably we burrrowed into the loaf and often left little more than a shell of a crust, lol.
Now we won't get into ice block deliveries for the fridge, lol.
