@wafflehead - you are an interesting and interested human - I like that! We will probably never know for sure if we really are so special that the entire universe was created to support our specialness until each of us face eternity - and no-one has come back from that to tell the story.
The nature of humans is such that we will always be asking questions and for me the story of Eve eating the forbidden fruit is nothing to do with being evil, but simply the awakening of the questioning spirit in humans, which has two possibilities, that of making us happy but also deeply unhappy. Your, mine, everyone's choice!
I will make a good study of that Jaynes, but have promised a friend to read a bible he has sent me and I am also reading something now on 'free will' - apparently there is no such thing - thought it might be a simple read, but it is not.
