I'm trying to see what's in this for Tsingshan apart from NIC derisking the funding of their construction. Why would Tsingshan enter a MoU to sell 70% of a project under construction? They must have been awarded the funds to kick it all off. Maybe Tsingshan has got other better things to spend it's money on and they're monetising this one. Or maybe they're reducing debt load? Or maybe the HPAL Resources are appealing to them in the longer run. I'm not sure...but it'll give me something to look at.
Lots of spending ahead for NIC if the deal becomes binding. This really is for the nickel faithful!
