I was surprised to read that Klarna is the fourth largest BNPL provider in the US? Over 22m users and growing at over 100% (90m users worldwide)
Klarna are 22m users and Afterpay (excluding aware) are around 16m as of august, but 6m additional at Q1, so around 22m also
Afterpay are set to rocket with Square and will surely be the largest in US within the next 12 to 18 months imo
Klarna have big backers though, being able to easily secure nearly $2bn usd worth of capital this year for further growth (aimed largely at the US).
PayPal say they’re 45m BNPL “instalment” users.
but in terms of GMV Klarna are roughly $50bn +, Afterpay is roughly $15bn +
