For a start your maths is wrong...
$300k X 9% X 25 = $675k.
$300k X 3% compound X 25 = $628k.
Secondly, throw in the 25 years worth of rent, and some capital appreciation in the property above and beyond inflation, and the picture is very pretty for our property investor.
