Thanks Marsman. I like the reminder that they are working on developing alternatives to broad spectrum antibiotics. We know CBD and other cannabidiols are effective antimicrobials which bacteria don’t develop resistance to. We know that CBD has been consumed by humans in its natural form for ever and trials of its use as an epilepsy drug was very successful without major side effects. So it’s safe, kills harmful bacteria and immune to the big problem of resistance. The problem they are trying to solve is getting the body to absorb the CBD systemically in sufficient quantities that it can reach the infection and be effective. Dr Blaskovic at Uni Q, who works closely with BOT, felt confident this could be achieved by modifying the structure of our synthetic CBD. If that crack it, we all retire very, very wealthy.

In the meantime we wait for BOT to jump through the acne hoops for a very nice earner, then possibly dermatitis (animals and humans, infection control for dialysis and rosacea.
