First time the Dow broke through 10000, unemployment was 4%.
Second time the Dow broke through 10000, unemployment was 5.5%
Now, unemployment (official figures) is 9.5%. In California its 12%. In Michigan, 10%. Average REAL unemployment including the fudged revisions and also those who actually are out of work but not claiming benefits....possibly puts it at 13%
But who cares.

CBA target gets upped to 61 dollars by Merrils BoA today. Cheap. 2 dilutions (monster ones) and yet, post GFC and post Lehmann one year on, we're past and through record prices for CBA.

Oil price through 75. People seem to have forgotten the correlation to high oil prices and profitability of companies.
