Sorry, but Oz is not in recession and in fact about the healthiest state of finances in the western world. It's largely based on minerals like iron ore, coal, nickel, lithium, cobalt etc.
Sand? Who gives a rats! From a dollar view it's irrelevant. Especially when you talk about minerals at $15k to $30k per tonne.
W. A is in huge surplus so sand would be at the bottom of the tree.
