The fact is the greens need to be better informed.

" The fact is, because brown coal is more polluting than other fuels, exporting it to developing countries will increase their emissions and lock them (and the world) into a dangerous emissions trajectory, thereby destroying attempts to negotiate a safe climate deal globally......

However, if the State Government gives coal allocations and exports the green light, both the Government and Exergen will be hearing a constant refrain from the community through to the state election next year: "Exporting lignite. It's not all right."
