I love PNI management, but this seems like a very expensive transaction relative to FUM on the face of it.
I understand that PE has higher fees, but the money can also be a lot less sticky in the long run (PE funds have a natural end/wind-up date) and FUM growth can take a lot longer to scale up due to capacity issues and deal flow availability. Still happy to hold, but am cautious the price paid.
