And they treat the land as land to be passed down through generation as a utility, unlike the baby boomers in Australia, who treat land as a stock to be sold at the correct price.
That's an interesting note on hereditary culture in Australia, US and UK, heirs generally have to wait till the owners pass on whereas in France, Germany, and in old South Africa at least, children, heirs already owned the land, and it was expected of them to carry on the family tradition instead of having to wait till a decrepit generation of selfish proprietarian old timers pass on and thereby free up the land as a stock which can be sold. What a difference in ideology. The best thing the boomers here can do is to die off and to thereby free up the assets for the use of the next generation.
