It would be bit of a fudge as it uses the US dollar index rather than the AUDUSD cross rate. I've been using the iShares Australia ETF as a substitute:
You can do these free on stockcharts.com. E.g. type $AORD:$USD into the box will give you All Ords divided by US dollar index. As I said - I'm not sure that one is valid though $XAD (Australian dollar index) conversions are interesting. I often use these for commod prices e.g. $GOLD:$XAD, $WTIC:$XAD, $COPPER:$XAD.
