They don't have to divulge what the terms of the contract are, but what they do have to release if it affects revenue to a material extent. This is how potential investors make decisions, without knowing revenue how can you possibly make an informed decision whether to invest or not. Insiders will know what the terms are and can use that to their advantage via 3rd parties.
Once the contract is signed a corresponding price for the supply is known I can't see how they can avoid informing the market as it will materially affect revenue in the future.
