from the annual report 09, probably gosowong in indonesia followed by namosi in fiji. goso has over 90% recovery from high grade ore.
real assets are its low cost base per ounce, low(ered) debt and being unheadged atm. chairman also notes that newcrest has "financial capacity to aggressively pursue growth strategy."
i interpret that as "M+A".
