Like most I have owned these for years and I'm not happy, but the rules have changed so why not just play the game and split the retail from wholesale and get Conroy to provide some incentives for doing so.
Don't sell anything, just split it into two to appease the Govt.
I am happy to own two Telco's (retail & wholesale) and get two divies.
This obviously means two boards of directors, two CEO's etc etc, but so what, let them each become accountable for their respective operations.
Maybe burden up the wholesale company with the bulk of the debt which can then be factored into the regulatory rates for all the users of the copper network.
Just my view on this on never ending Govt verses Telstra Saga and it's time for Telstra Mgt to look out side the square to benefit share holders (and not their fat bum jobs) by not banging heads with the Govt - this will not get us anywhere for years.
