hi ya - maybe we need to define what you're doing a bit
when you say - swinging your arms (at home) --- are we talking about swinging - as in walking
or are we talking more like a bicep curl or hammer curl type of movement???
yesterday I walked a bit over 10 km - with about?? 250 to 400 metre climb - with 1kg weights on either wrist.
I felt nothing. I 'suspect' that it might be working the muscles around the lower back a bit - but, I'm unsure.
It's difficult to tell if I was runnng a bit warmer or not - when I left it was minus 2 - and when I got back it was smack on zero - but, I think it may have nudged up above zero a bit when I was out - but, not much.
the pain in the arse I found was that I had to take them off and put them on twice when out - because I was shedding layers.
I didn't warm my body up before going out that time - next time - I'll warm it up - then go out just in a single layer - that should get around that issue.
I'll give it a week or so and put it up to 20km or more with the little weights and see how it goes. If they are doing something - it's quite a good way for me. And if so, I might bump them up to 2kg and put the little ones around my ankles - something like that.
When I'm referring to swinging arms in my initial mention of it - it's just a normal arm swing when walking briskly - my swing goes across the body slightly-
that movement pumps out the lymph nodes - they would be apx. in the pic below - you can feel them if they have lymph in them - dig in a couple of fingers - if it hurts - there's lymph in there - meaning that your body has been doing something - perhaps fighting something -- that's what the arms swinging pumps out manually
