Interesting this Sth African variant 'which evades vaccines' has popped up into play just as the evidence of vaccines not working on the Delta variant is showing with increased lockdowns and restrictions for high vax populations in Europe.
Markets did not react to this news very well. Gold and silver stocks could get hit temporarily while markets initially suffer but once the market realises this is going to be a never ending problem, we will see the money start to pop into safe-haven assets. Gold and silver price will be almost double what they are now in the next 6 months IMO.
My advice, hold strong over the next few trading days while there is significant fear in the markets, because the coming months are going to be the best we have ever seen for precious metals.
