Because you can do this yourself @Skol. Go add up all the known vault numbers and stockpiles, you don't even get close to the known gold mined in tonnes, and as a percentage silver is lower. Remember 8 times more silver than gold has always been mined, yet we find something closer to 3 times that in the known vaults and both don't get close to the numbers I suggest exist. Funny that isn't it. Even if you double the known numbers and say that amount is in private vaults it doesn't get close.
