The number of serious cases would have multi factor variant drivers; it is basic science to analyse those drivers to determine any causality between individual drivers and and the outcome of serious cases. Proposed drivers would be:
- vaccination rates and effectiveness
- lockdown severity
- infectiousness of the virus (e.g. delta impact)
