a person who is vaccinated has a prepared immune system. there are already antibodies which can lock on to the virus and prevent the virus from entering the host cell. This prevents the virus from replicating and so the viral load doesn't get to a level that it can infect others.
ppl with old age, which reduces the immune response (over 55s), and impaired immune system due to illness of medical treatment have a higher risk of replicating virus which can lead to illness and death as well as developing a full viral load and so become contagious. This is where your claims that "the vaccines don't work" come from.
