Hahaha Yes exactly. I don't know why people give the government so much undeserved credit when they can barely pull together to get a highway bridge built or start a submarine program without first alienating a close ally.

They screw up too much. Then people assume the screw ups are on purpose and it's a master plan.

In the minds of Goodfella and Mariemac, the government literally cannot make a mistake. Because when it does, it gets put down to an intentional blunder that was apart of a master plan, and Goodfella and Marie think they're caught up in the middle of it.
