re: dlux- a bit weird ...two minute's silence
It is a bit like celebrating one day a year as Mothers day, when as far as I am concerned every day is mother, father, son, daughter day.
And so when/if offer my thoughts to those who's physical bodies have ceased to be 'alive' I offer my thoughts to all.
Here are a few passages from various wisdoms, please feel free to read them, some may need further interpretation. What you make of them is up to you.I will post a couple of url's in case of further enquiry.
"Sages do not grieve for the living nor the dead. Never did I not exist, nor you, nor these rulers of men; nor will any one of us ever hereafter cease to be." (Bhagavatgita II. 27).
Having become indifferent to objects of perception, the pupil must seek out the rajah of the senses, the Thought-Producer, he who awakes illusion. The Mind is the great Slayer of the Real. Let the Disciple slay the Slayer.
Thou seest well, Lanoo(disciple). These Portals lead the aspirant across the waters on "to the other shore" (7). Each Portal hath a golden key that openeth its gate; and these keys are: --
1. DANA, the key of charity and love immortal.
2. SHILA, the key of Harmony in word and act, the key that counterbalances the cause and the effect, and leaves no further room for Karmic action.
3. KSHANTI, patience sweet, that nought can ruffle.
4. VIRAG, indifference to pleasure and to pain, illusion conquered, truth alone perceived.
5. VIRYA, the dauntless energy that fights its way to the supernal TRUTH, out of the mire of lies terrestrial.
6. DHYANA, whose golden gate once opened leads the Narjol* toward the realm of Sat eternal and its ceaseless contemplation.

7. PRAJNA, the key to which makes of a man a god, creating him a Bodhisattva, son of the Dhyanis.
