That would only be possible if the body's natural immune system was working, we are evolved to deal with new infections and plenty of folks have beaten COVID19.

Vaccines stimulate and train the immune system in hopefully a non lethal way with hopefully few long term side effects. Vaccines rely on the human bodys natural immune defences to be operational. They mimic a recent infection to some degree.

If there was no natural immunity 100% of infected people would have unchecked virus replication in their body leading to serious illness, death and exponential infection rates that never subside till all are dead.
