Especially all of us who have shared a pleasant chat before and during the AGMs over the last several years. At present we are either in or not in, with more or less shares than last year, for whatever reasons, and none of us is forced to make those decisions by anyone else here on this forum - so have the debate but let's not let it get ugly.
This stock appears to be somewhat unusual in the overall scheme of ASX things - trust me to be so involved. Of course it was the right thing (in hindsight) to sell out at some stage over the last year or so. How I wish I had sold out at 20c. I would now be backing up the truck (as I suspect some of you have been, and good luck to you for doing so) and hopefully in the not too distant future be laughing all the way to the bank (how I wish I could literally do that!).
Both sides are right. Yes, everything is "on track" but at this rate the stadium will be shut down for the night before we finish the race! Nothing is broke (except the pens in APG's office it would seem). We all would be brilliant directors (I toyed with the idea of standing myself :) ) just like we would all have taken our footy teams to victory if only we had been on the bench as coach/manager that day. I've found that these things are nearly always so much more complex than they seem from the outside. There is so much that happens behind closed doors that we can have no idea of (like most things really). Perhaps it has been bungled - I just don't know, and I don't know that we have any other options open to us anyway except to plug on with the team we have.
Unfortunately, I probably won't make it to the AGM and its associated pleasantries this year, but I hope that for those that do go, it is a day full of good cheer and either burgeoning success or imminent hope (beyond "very very advanced stages"!)
I still (probably foolishly) believe that this tortoise will finally get over the line, sprout wings and become a soaring eagle (sorry for the appalling mix of metaphors!)
Cheers,
sasa
