Paul Kingsnorth is arguing a scenario based on Nevil Shute's On The Beach which I loved and read the book after seeing the second film adeptation ie A civilised acceptance of the inevitable. George Monbiot, on the other hand sees a Mad Max world. Observing our society I would punt on Mad Max.
But I don't believe in AGW so why should I care? I care because peak oil and overpopulation are taking us to the same destination.
