    Given the ALP basically lost the last election because of their imputation credit, CGT discount, negative gearing & trust distribution tax policies, I'd hazard a guess to state they'll be pretty quiet on that front this election.

    I think some heed of recent circumstances should be taken, the issues surrounding COVID and the level of Government intervention required were not able to be foreseen.

    But yes, Government spending is a difficult conversation to have with the electorate, because much of the electorate sees Government support as being "paid" to them as something they are entitled to rather than a safety net provided until they can support themselves.
